If you live in the Toledo Public Schools district, passed, according to preliminary results late Tuesday night. WTVG reported the levy is expected to generate more than $22 million annually to cover current expenses and help fund a transformation plan. WTOL's live results page described it as a five-year levy for current operating expenses.

Superintendent Romulus Durant pointed to rising operational costs, inflation and state funding cuts as reasons for the request. The district's “” plan aims to close a multi-million budget gap.

Lucas County's results ran late, and bomb threats paused voting at one polling site

If you waited up for Lucas County results Tuesday night, here's why it dragged. WTOL reported that a large, last-minute delivery of absentee ballots and many ballots needing to be remade were among the causes. Election Day also began with a scare: School, a polling place on Toledo's Southside, was emptied after phoned-in bomb threats. Toledo Public Schools spokeswoman Patty Mazur said the first call came around 10:30 a.m.

Police swept the building with a K-9 unit and found nothing.

Deputy Director Tim Monaco corrected earlier reports of a roughly two-hour closure. The board's Facebook post, as WFMJ relayed it, said voting continued countywide as normal. WTVG gave an update on the threat Tuesday afternoon.

  • Other schools threatened: Monac, Conneaut, Kenwood, Defiance City, Lake Local
  • Waiting outside: about 40 voters, per a poll monitor
  • Bowling Green and Lake Local buildings: not polling sites

Voting at Beverly resumed shortly after noon on Nov. 3
