Lucas County's results ran late, and bomb threats paused voting at one polling site
The Daily Toledo team
If you waited up for Lucas County results Tuesday night, here's why it dragged. WTOL reported that a large, last-minute delivery of absentee ballots and many ballots needing to be remade were among the causes. Election Day also began with a scare: Beverly Elementary School, a polling place on Toledo's Southside, was emptied after phoned-in bomb threats. Toledo Public Schools spokeswoman Patty Mazur said the first call came around 10:30 a.m.
