- ➤ Glenn Chambers, a former police officer turned biochemistry student, will graduate Dec. 13 from UToledo after key research work (including work on N-heterocyclic compounds) in Dr. Wei Li's lab. - ➤ An audit revealed that Toledo-based Empowered for Excellence Behavioral Health owes state Medicaid $1.87 million for improper billing practices, and officials say corrective actions are forthcoming. The Blade
- ➤ Due to freezing temperatures and wind chills in the single digits, Toledo opened emergency overnight warming shelters last night at St. Paul's Methodist Church for singles and couples and at Leading Families Home for families; transportation is available by dialing 211 for those needing longer-term shelter or housing assistance.
