- ➤ United Way of Greater Toledo is launching its 4th annual United for the Holidays initiative to help local families during the festive season—Wendy Pestrue said community members can join to brighten the celebrations. - ➤ Millbury Classic Car and Truck Museum is boosting WTOL 11's Gift of Joy toy drive as community members join the effort to donate gifts for local children. The museum’s support adds momentum to the drive and invites residents to contribute in any way they can. WTOL

- ➤ 11 Investigates' Kalie Marantette explained sharenting as when parents share too much about their kids online—and she warned of dangers like privacy risks uncovered during the investigation. WTOL
- ➤ The National Museum of the Great Lakes is hosting its annual Christmas Tree Ship event, where locals can buy or donate a live 5-7 foot tree from Matthes Tree Farm until Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. and watch Santa arrive on a tugboat carrying trees on Dec. 6—providing free museum admission and holiday activities like a parade and Santa meet and greet. - ➤ The International Students Association hosted its annual I-Village event on November 20th at Thompson Student Union Auditorium—students sampled international foods and watched dance performances, including one by the UToledo KPop Club and Daebak team. - ➤ The University of Toledo said its student-athletes achieved a graduation success rate of 93% — ranking them third among MAC schools and in the top third of Division I institutions. Seven teams earned a perfect 100% rate and football set a record 96%, highlighting the Rockets' strong commitment to both academics and sports. The University of Toledo
- ➤ UToledo was named among the best schools for military-connected students after ranking 48th in the nation, 7th in the Midwest, and 2nd in Ohio in the Military Times Best for Vets survey. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Ohio House passed a bill that lets consumers get a credit on their electric bill if they subscribe to community energy, and it will benefit both cost stability and local investments. The bipartisan bill—supported by clean energy groups and passed with 20 Yea votes—will now move to the Senate before reaching Governor Mike DeWine's desk. WTOL
- ➤ On November 17, Toledo Edison began disconnecting power at Riverside Mobile Home Park at 18 City Park Avenue after residents, including Charles Parker and Susan Luttrell, failed to vacate as required. - ➤ Some SNAP recipients in Toledo have not yet received their November benefits even after the government shutdown ended, leaving families in a tough spot.
