- ➤ On Saturday morning, community members in Oregon took part in the Hope for the Hungry Food Drive—a drive-thru event to support the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank's efforts to fight hunger. WTVG
- ➤ The YMCA of Greater Toledo has entered a purchase agreement for the former LA Fitness and Esporta facility on North Holland-Sylvania Road to expand its community services in Sylvania. - ➤ Several local businesses are making changes this month as Buckeye Store & More closes at 5700 Monroe Street because the owner is retiring and Mr. Ranchero Taco Shop opens at 5855 Central Ave—while Ink & Iron Tattoo Parlor moves to become Erie Street Ink and Lucas County Canine Care & Control begins its service at 1301 Monroe. - ➤ Toledo Lucas County Public Library hosted its second Romance Con — where more than 50 romance authors met with fans, letting book lovers ask questions and share their favorite stories. The event brought the community together to celebrate romance novels and lively author discussions. WTOL
- ➤ The West Toledo Branch Library will host a free screening of The Apollo on Monday, November 10 from 6 to 8 p.m.—this event comes after the Tree City Film Festival’s November 8 premiere at Nederhouser Hall, while the University of Toledo will hold free World AIDS Day film screenings on December 2 at 5:30 p.m. and December 4 at 7:30 p.m. with limited seating.
