EDUCATION NEWS

  • Neff College of Business will host its Fall 2025 Job Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at Savage Arena where over 90 companies will meet with about 400 students to explore internships and jobs — the event will help students build professional networks with recruiters from firms such as 3M and Toyota.  The University of Toledo

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Lucas County Engineer’s Office added a fourth brine-applicator tank with state grant funds so that it can pretreat all roads in the county faster this winter. The upgrade will shorten treatment times—helping to improve road safety during winter storms.  The Blade

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Main Library is hosting the Better Toledo series on Thursday where experts will show adults how to identify ADHD and manage its symptoms—attendees will get practical tips to improve daily challenges.  The Blade
  • Today the University of Toledo Medical Center was recognized by the Lown Institute as one of the nation’s most socially responsible hospitals. The hospital earned an “A” rating in health equity, value and patient outcomes while ranking No. 104 nationally and was the only northwest Ohio facility to receive this honor — demonstrating its strong commitment to the community.  Toledo Legal News
  • Board members Jane Wurth and Nate Segall of Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio discussed motivation behind the Race for the Cure 2025—sharing ways for locals to donate—and urged community support to help fund cancer research.  WTOL
  • A family is taking part in the Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure today to honor the memory of their grandmother and mother who both had breast cancer.  WTOL
  • Nanee — a breast cancer survivor twice — was joined by family and friends at the Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure today to honor survivors and raise awareness about breast cancer. The event showed strong community support for those affected.  WTOL
  • Jessica White of Susan G. Komen said the organization is launching an initiative—tracking detailed data to help find a cure for breast cancer—and will use the findings to guide proactive research.  WTOL
  • Diamond Pitts and Andrew Ross won the 2025 Susan G. Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure — the winners shared their excitement with hosts Caylee and Tim during the event.  WTOL
