- ➤ City crews temporarily filled two sinkholes next to Whittier Elementary School on Lewis Avenue with stone and topsoil to stabilize the area until permanent repairs to the storm main begin. A local resident said the fix is only temporary—students remain at risk until proper repairs are completed. WTVG

- ➤ Artomatic 419 returns to Erie Street Market to turn an unused building into a hub for art in Toledo. The festival will run Friday, Sept. 19 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 20 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.—featuring work by over 200 artists— and will include a relaxed artist mixer with a DJ plus live performances. - ➤ Latino Day will be celebrated at the Toledo Mud Hens game on Sept. 14 — the final home game of the season — with pregame scholarship presentations honoring four Latino college students who will receive awards from SAO and Lourdes University. The event will start with a parade outside Fifth Third Field at noon, followed by a game at 2:05 p.m. and a 4 p.m. postgame concert featuring Grupo Motivo. Toledo Free Press
- ➤ The Supreme Court of Ohio is asking justice-involved veterans to send in art for an exhibit showing in November during National Veterans and Military Families Month — art must be submitted by October 7.
