- ➤ Unison Health is renovating Whitney Manor to create permanent supportive housing for Toledo residents facing homelessness—using federal, state, and local funds to update windows, roofing, plumbing, and electrical systems. The work is set to finish in spring. WTVG
- ➤ Dan Cummins is on his 21st trip with 81 local veterans as the Flag City Honor Flight heads to Washington, D.C.—an annual program that honors those who served. WTOL
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Five years after 3-year-old Braylen Noble was found deceased in the Hunter’s Ridge pool, questions remain on how he went missing despite an intensive search by police, divers, and volunteers—while his mother and grandmother later received probation for obstructing justice after pleading guilty. CULTURE NEWS

- ➤ The Toledo Museum of Art will host its fifth annual Glass Harvest event on Sept. 27 and Sept. 28 at the Rita B. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today the EPA is starting cleanup at the abandoned Omni Polymers facility — a site with over 2,300 containers of hazardous chemicals. The project will test, pack, and transport the materials while air quality is monitored, with work set to finish by spring. WTVG
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ In Ohio, the governor is proposing a change that could let police stop drivers solely for not wearing a seat belt—shifting the state from its rule that requires another offense before a citation. The proposal would give officers greater authority—potentially increasing road safety in our local area. WTOL

- ➤ The Lucas County Opiate Coalition will host Chalk the Walk at Promenade Park on Saturday, Sept 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. to honor those lost to opioid-related overdose and injury — attendees can create chalk art, join a remembrance ceremony at 6:30 p.m., and take part in naloxone training and overdose education offered by the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department.
