- ➤ On August 31 at 8:58 p.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol said a 23-year-old motorcyclist from Huron riding his 2018 Kawasaki Ninja died after crashing into a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu on US-6 near OH-61 in Berlin Township when the driver failed to yield—no injuries were reported for the car driver. - ➤ Workers at Libbey Glass in north Toledo have been on strike for ten days due to stalled contract talks— they are demanding a fair deal for better working conditions. WTOL

- ➤ As summer winds down, the City of Toledo advises residents to safely drain pools to protect waterways and wildlife. Residents are urged not to empty pools directly into storm drains, to let chemicals dissipate, and to gradually drain water onto grassy areas—call the Division of Environmental Services at 419-936-3015 for more guidance.
