- ➤ King City Gardens — which began by growing products from its mother trees — nearly doubled its profits in its first year after recreational cannabis became legal in Ohio. - ➤ Drivers on East Woodruff Avenue are being diverted from a water-filled hole near Woodruff Village Apartments that has posed safety concerns for nearly two years, with children at risk playing nearby. Toledo city officials explained a leaking joint on a 60-inch water transmission main is the cause and said a specialized part is expected by mid to late September—residents feel their neighborhood is being overlooked.
