EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and DEW Director Stephen D. Dackin announced that 33 schools were awarded $45.9 million in Comprehensive Literacy grants from a $60 million federal gift—this funding will expand K-12 literacy programs and enhance teacher training under the ReadOhio initiative. - ➤ State investigators visited the Lucas County jail on Aug. 4 and found that issues with the roof, doors, and other systems need immediate repair—without investment the jail’s safety will be compromised.
