- ➤ Unionized Libbey Glass workers began their strike at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 22, saying the company ended contract talks over unfair labor practices and overlooked their past sacrifices; Libbey said it had offered proposals for long-term stability — a claim union officials disputed. WTVG
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Today, Promenade Park will host Strictly R&B Park Jam from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. organized by TRL Productions and Marcus G Entertainment.
