- ➤ A Toledo woman won $1,000,000 when she scratched a lottery ticket on Aug. 10th and chose the cash option (lottery officials are processing the prize). WTVG
- ➤ Republic Services said it will resume regular garbage pick-up today after a week of delays; crews made progress Sunday while local union drivers honored the strike line supporting Teamsters. The company apologized for the inconvenience to Lucas County residents. WTVG

- ➤ Toledo police and the FBI are investigating a robbery at Point Place KeyBank on August 10 — bank employees were safely escorted out unharmed. WTVG
- ➤ A Toledo mother who lost her son to gun violence is launching an initiative to bring victims and their families together—she hopes to create a support network that will help reduce gun violence in our community. WTVG
- ➤ Toledo Police arrested Jonathan Brown, 38, for allegedly stabbing a woman he knew and stealing her car on Aug. 9 — he is expected to face a judge Monday morning. WTVG
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Party in the Park draws about 3,500 to 4,000 people every Friday at downtown Promenade Park where local bands perform and special events like an Elton John tribute boost excitement. The free concert series started May 30 and will run through August 29—organizers plan to add more features next season to further revitalize the area. Toledo Free Press
