- ➤ Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and ODOT Director Pamela Boratyn announced a $7.6 million investment to improve safety for K-12 students who walk or bike to school by funding 24 projects in 12 counties under the Safe Routes to School program + the infrastructure and education upgrades will run from fiscal 2026 to 2028 to enhance sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, and safety campaigns. - ➤ A recent audit of the state Broadcast Educational Media Commission found that fewer than half of Ohio’s public TV stations and channels use the agency’s Joint Master Control system—auditors recommended that lawmakers review the system, adjust budgets, and improve equipment tracking to meet current needs.
