- ➤ Toledo will host the third annual Disabled and Proud Fest at Glass City Metropark on Saturday, July 26 from noon to 4 p.m. The free celebration coincides with the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act — it will feature live entertainment, adaptive dance, and inclusive activities. - ➤ Cirque Italia wowed Toledo fans with six Water Circus shows near Toledo Speedway last weekend (featuring 1950s music, acrobatics, and daring water stunts). - ➤ Investigators identified a person of interest in a hit and run that killed 31 year old Emmalee Jackman in Sylvania Township on July 20 at 12:20 a.m.—Jackman rode her electric scooter on N. Holland-Sylvania Road near Huntingfield Blvd when an unknown driver struck her and fled the scene. WTVG

- ➤ All eight spring graduates of UToledo’s Respiratory Care Program passed the national registered respiratory therapist exams on their first try, earning a 100% first-time pass rate—well above the national average. - ➤ Patrick Burtch, the City of Maumee Administrator, announced his retirement at a special meeting amid a turbulent period in city leadership—residents are challenging the mayor and council with a recall effort. A day earlier, city councilman Scott Noonan resigned and the Ohio Supreme Court blocked a planned recall election since the city charter does not allow such removals. WTVG
- ➤ Lucas County is cleaning ditches to help water flow and stop flooding — the project may add fees to property tax bills without notice.
