  • Camp Lakota is a welcoming camp for scouts in West Central Ohio that opened a new Cooper Lodge and Keith Hubbard Dining Hall to bring campers together.   • Cherry Street Mission Ministries reported that local food banks are already feeling the impact of federal + state funding cuts and are still assessing the full effect on services.  WTOL
  • Isaiah 117—known for its 59 locations including one in Lucas County—and Moline Builders are constructing a house in Lucas County for foster children to feel at home. The project will provide a supportive space as part of ongoing efforts to improve community services.  WTOL

  • Registry Bistro in downtown Toledo now offers monthly craft cocktail workshops where guests learn to mix two themed cocktails—one light and one strong—with each session featuring a different flavor.   • Toledo police released bodycam footage showing Aaron Soll allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at the Eastgate Apartments and was shot in the hand by officers when they arrived.  WTOL
  • A fatal shooting at Agenda Sports Bar led Toledo officials to order its closure for 2 weeks after the city requested a temporary restraining order on July 10 — court filings detailed the measure.  WTOL

  • Baldemar Velasquez, president of FLOC, returned from Washington DC and is pushing for a new amnesty program to help millions of migrants—he plans to use support from national and international unions to boost his effort.  WTOL
