  • Toledo police said a man (an adult) was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside a car on Prospect Avenue Saturday morning and was taken to a hospital (his condition was critical).  WTVG

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Lucas County Auditor Katie Moline on Friday released a performance audit of the 2024 property revaluation that found delays from years of inaction, vague contracts, and state holdups—issues that led to sharp property value increases and many homeowner appeals. The audit, done by tax consultant John D. Cleminshaw, calls for a new contractor selection process and better oversight ahead of a best-in-class 2030 revaluation cycle—steps meant to restore trust in the process.  WTOL

HEALTH NEWS

  • Indiana Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Toledo hosted a free lead testing event for children on June 13th that turned a health check into a fun day with attractions—bounce houses, a food truck, and family vendors.
