- ➤ University of Toledo microbiologists found that microcystin (an algal toxin) remained in beach sand at Maumee Bay State Park for up to three weeks. - ➤ Washington Street between 17th and Summit Streets will get safety improvements including bike lanes and a roundabout at the intersection of Indiana, Washington, and 11th. The city will start work in 2026 after finalizing an agreement with ODOT that will pay up to $5.2 million (a pilot project) and is set to approve the plan next Tuesday. WTVG
