CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A man in Washington Township was arrested on animal cruelty charges after Henry County officers found 80 dogs and six dead puppies living in unsanitary conditions—neighbors reported nearly 25 years of abuse. WTVG
- ➤ Officers responded to a call on Sunday evening near the 1000 block of Waverly Ave and found a 52-year-old woman on the front porch of a home with a gunshot wound — she was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition. WTVG
- ➤ Deondrae Ballard pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and other charges in the fatal shooting of 32-year-old Elisha Meraz on Oct. 26 in east Toledo—sentencing is set for June 25. WTOL
