  • Krazy Bins — a Cleveland-based overstock chain — announced plans to open a new store in Toledo this August. Owner Noah Leavitt said he is moving the store into a former property and more details are expected soon.  The Blade

  • Police arrested a suspect after 37-year-old Robert Boone was fatally shot outside a West Toledo bar early Saturday—he died in hospital.  The Blade

CULTURE NEWS

  • The 57th annual Debutante Cotillion took place May 24 at The Premier banquet hall and was presented by the Toledo Club of the National Association of Negro Business—highlighting the best of local youth.  The Blade

ECONOMY NEWS

  • On Friday, local dignitaries welcomed Victory Cruise Line's 296 foot vessel Victory 1 to Toledo, hoping the stop will create new jobs+boost local business. Cruise passengers and crew enjoyed a live rendition of 'Under the Sea' by Samuel E.  The Blade

SPORTS NEWS

  • Game 1 of the Kelly Cup Finals will be played Saturday, June 7th between the Toledo Walleye and the Trois-Rivières Lions—both teams will showcase key players as they begin the best-of-seven series.  The Blade
  • Jones led the Toledo Mud Hens to a 7-5 win over the Louisville Bats on Saturday at Fifth Third Field—marking their seventh straight win and improving their record to 32-24.  The Blade
  • The Toledo Walleye won game one of the Kelly Cup Finals 3-1, taking early control of the series. Fans packed the arena & a free watch party at Fifth Third Field will let fans watch game two today at 7:15 p.m.  WTVG
