- ➤ West Toledo police said a shooting left one unidentified man dead at a hospital and another person injured. WTOL
- ➤ Tony Dia—father of fallen Officer Anthony Dia—appeared in Lucas County Common Pleas Court Wednesday morning after pleading guilty to felony charges for stealing about $26,000 from the memorial foundation set up to honor his son, who was killed on July 4. WTOL
- ➤ Toledo Police are conducting a Click It or Ticket traffic blitz that began on May 19 and will run until June 1 as officers focus on speeding, seatbelt violations, and OVIs in areas with numerous traffic complaints—this effort is funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as part of a national campaign. - ➤ Lauren Jin is a junior studying physics and math at UToledo who started researching early and worked on a Type 1 diabetes project in South Korea after high school. - ➤ A proposed zone change in a Toledo neighborhood may allow a clay mine on three plots at Angola and Byrne roads owned by Rocky Ridge Development LLC + residents have collected over 300 petition signatures to oppose the change.
