- ➤ The Waterville Library is celebrating 100 years with a community event on Saturday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 800 Michigan Ave (featuring local groups, food trucks and activities) as it honors its century of service to families and readers. Toledo Free Press
- ➤ Yesterday, Sylvania held a ceremony at Toledo Memorial Park to honor service members who made the ultimate sacrifice, featuring a solemn bugle call and a parade march. WTVG
- ➤ On Memorial Day, community members honored fallen service members at Toledo Memorial Park and in Sylvania with a solemn ceremony, patriotic bugle call — and a parade march that united residents in remembrance. WTVG
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ A new festival celebrating Hispanic culture took place Sunday afternoon in Toledo’s Old South End when Cultura Sobre Ruedas (Culture on Wheels) showcased local traditions. The Blade
- ➤ In 1776, Joshua Sinclair enlisted as a fifer at 16 and became the only known Revolutionary War veteran laid to rest in a Maumee cemetery. His grave, marking nearly 250 years of history, shows a deep connection to local heritage. WTOL
