ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A Turnpike crash occurred near mile marker 91 north of Fremont on Thursday morning when an Amazon semi (with two people) pulled onto the berm due to engine failure before being struck by another semi; its driver was critically injured and another person was hurt as the EPA responded to a spill (oil, gas, and antifreeze). - ➤ Police reported that around 12:15 a.m. two vehicles collided in west Toledo — one vehicle caught fire and injured three people. WTOL
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Officers say a 44-year-old man was shot at a south Toledo McDonald's Monday evening and died in the hospital Tuesday morning — 24-year-old Kemarri Anderson was arrested and charged with murder and felonious assault. WTOL
- ➤ Prosecutors turned over 234 pieces of evidence—photos, videos, and recorded interviews— to defense attorneys ahead of Darnell Jones Ogletree's pretrial hearing today in Lucas County Common Pleas Court, where he faces murder, kidnapping and rape charges that could result in the death penalty. - ➤ A 24-year-old man from Venezuela was arrested on May 19 for using false documents to enroll as a 16-year-old at Perrysburg High School—authorities say he posed as a minor to join sports teams and now faces forgery charges with a preliminary hearing on May 29 at Perrysburg Municipal Court.
