  • A Toledo man was arrested after a fatal car crash on May 20th that killed his passenger and left three others hospitalized — police are investigating the incident.  WTVG
  • A man was fatally shot at a Toledo McDonald's on May 20th—police said they arrested the alleged shooter.  WTVG
  • Toledo Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly committed an aggravated robbery at KT Mart on May 19 at 10:40 p.m. when a vehicle owner left his car running and was confronted by an unknown Black man holding a pistol (with a red laser) who then stole the vehicle.  WTVG
  • A shooting at a south Toledo McDonald's caused one death Monday evening—police arrested and charged a suspect in connection with the incident.  WTOL

  • Toledo’s home playoff games bring an estimated $250,000 each in direct spending, with local purchases pushing total revenue near $1 million. The games also support over 270 jobs and create demand for 222 hotel rooms — helping boost earnings at local businesses like Downtown Johnny’s Bar and Grill.  WTOL

  • Whitmer High School students won top honors in a national Business Professionals of America competition in Orlando—advancing from regional and state contests. HEALTH NEWS

  • Experts warned that factory farms across the country, including those affecting Lake Erie, raise risks of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and water pollution which harm human health and crowd animals in unsanitary conditions. Local health advocates and scientists noted that these farms increase foodborne illnesses and release dangerous emissions (such as ammonia) that threaten both workers and nearby communities.  Toledo Free Press
