  • St. Patrick of Heatherdowns hosts its monthly Feed Our Neighbors food drive — the event is open to everyone and accepts donations to help those in need.  WTOL
  • Crowds gathered at the Toledo Air Show for the first time in six years as the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flew precision routines and aerobatic aerialists performed—drawing many local aviation fans to the event.  WTOL

  • Local florists are facing higher costs as tariffs increase prices on imported roses and other blooms — especially from Colombia and Ecuador — which may lead to higher prices for customers.  WTOL

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Whitmer High’s Media Arts program won best broadcast news production in the nation when the award was announced on Saturday in Orlando. Three students went to the ceremony to accept the honor.  WTOL

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Eligible Ohioans aged 60 and older can now apply for the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program online to receive $50 for fresh produce, herbs, and honey. Applicants who sign up with an email will begin using their digital benefits on May 15 and those in certain counties must apply via Buckeye Hills Regional Council—applications close on September 30.  Toledo Legal News
  • The Ohio Housing Finance Agency announced today that Matt Sutter is the new senior director of housing programs and Tony Palmer is the new chief legal counsel — Sutter worked with Toledo agencies while Palmer served as legal counsel at the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce — their appointments are expected to boost affordable housing programs.  Toledo Legal News
