  • Josh Croup covered a Sunday Cinco de Mayo celebration that featured a sip & shop supporting women homeowners and an open house tour of new modular homes in the Old South End. Residents enjoyed a look into local culture and community spirit.  WTVG
  • At Wood County Museum in Bowling Green, Simon Stough experienced living reenactments (depicting daily life from 1700 to 1865) on Sunday that showcased the museum’s commitment to preserving local history.  The Blade

  • Women of Toledo is sponsoring a free hands-on workshop today at 10 a.m. that teaches girls, moms and mentors how to create a welcome mat.  The Blade
  • Six graduating students from Anthony Wayne High School committed to military service at the second annual Military Signing Day held Friday night & training will begin later this summer.  WTOL
  • The University of Toledo introduced a new sports management concentration to equip students with business fundamentals and hands-on experience through integrated internships.   • Northwest Ohio farmers face a mounting challenge as record rain delayed planting—Delta-area growers warn that over a foot of rain since March and more cool, wet days forecast have shrunk their planting window, which may affect yields and raise costs.  WTOL
  • Researchers say microplastic pollution is worsening toxic algal blooms in Lake Erie, a challenge that could affect Toledo’s water quality and local beaches. Studies continue to find ways to help protect the community’s water.  The Blade
