- ➤ Toledo Jeep Fest runs from Aug. 7 through Aug. 9, marking its ninth year, as organizers announced Jeep is a presenting co-sponsor with Mercy Health, a Party in the Park featuring a cover band and drone show for Jeep’s anniversary, and Brad Kolwitz as the new parade marshal; registration is open. - ➤ GM announced a $40 million investment today at its Toledo Propulsion Systems facility to expand production of 10-speed transmissions for trucks and SUVs. The move is part of an overall $830 million plan to boost domestic manufacturing and support local jobs. WTOL
- ➤ AAA explains that Toledo gas prices vary because stations selling older fuel charge 40 to 60 cents less than those with new deliveries (Morgan Dean said the timing difference reflects recent fuel drops as crude oil climbs above $100 a barrel). WTVG

- ➤ The University of Toledo College of Law will host the Ohio bar exam on July 28-29 as a new testing site for aspiring attorneys from northwest Ohio. Director Kelly Tomlinson (of academic success and bar preparation) said holding the exam on campus could ease travel expenses for graduates. WTVG
