- ➤ The Toledo Zoo euthanized its 80 year old Galapagos tortoise Emerson on Friday as his health worsened from suspected heart disease. - ➤ Lucie Morris will graduate Saturday with a bachelor's degree in communication from UToledo and served on the women's swim team while leading the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. - ➤ The University of Toledo earned 14 utility patents in 2024 for innovations in science, engineering and medicine, ranking it among the nation’s top patent-producing universities as noted by the National Academy of Inventors.
