- ➤ UToledo senior Josh Ford overcame abuse and health setbacks and will earn his business degree on Saturday at John F. Savage Arena (he received a lifesaving scholarship from donor Edward Kinsey). - ➤ After a winter flood that flooded 5-6 inches of water, the 90-year-old Pemberville school remains closed through next school year. Preschoolers will be taught at a new elementary while fifth graders attend middle school, and district leaders estimate repair costs near $1 million (with renovation, sale or demolition under review). - ➤ Toledo native Brooke Foster graduates Saturday, May 2 with a degree in respiratory care and begins a pediatric residency at ProMedica Toledo Hospital after gaining hands-on experience in neonatal and pediatric intensive care units.
