  • Jaden Jefferson’s Toledo Works podcast 'Toledo Eats!' interviews local restaurant workers from Baba’s Eats (a food truck that began in the pandemic), Kengo Sushi and Yakitori, and House of Coffee (a neighborhood café) to show how their stories add flavor to community life.  Toledo Free Press

  • The University invites community members to attend open forums with three finalists for the Vice President of Marketing and Communications position next week.   • Tyler Hespe, a civil engineering senior at UToledo, gained hands-on experience through the co-op program and will start full-time work at Lathrop Turner after graduating on May 2.   • Michelle 'Mimi' Bordignon will earn her Pharm.D. on Friday, May 1 at the University of Toledo after overcoming challenges from political unrest and a global pandemic.   • At the Environment, Energy and Resources Law Institute in March, the Ohio State Bar Association Environmental Law Section awarded Will Gombash of the University of Toledo College of Law first prize and Erin Donovan of Cleveland State University College of Law second prize for their environmental law essays.  Toledo Legal News
  • UToledo will host Junior Achievement’s 5th Year program this August—up to 60 students from 18 local high schools will live on campus for a nine-month program focused on career exploration, financial independence and personal development.   • Public health officials have kept a health advisory in place for Swan Creek — tests on April 14 found elevated E. coli levels, and residents are advised to avoid contact with the creek and its tributaries from Eastgate to the Maumee River until levels are safe.  WTVG
  • UTMC was named one of the top workplaces for nurses after Nursegrid’s survey rated it 4.4 stars, making it the only metro hospital on the Great Workplaces for Nurses list. The hospital’s strong support shows in its 12-month residency program, where more than 91% of new nurses stay past their first year.  The University of Toledo
