- ➤ A large tree fell on a truck at Northwest Baptist Church, killing one man and injuring the pastor while the church community rallied to support him. WTVG

- ➤ The stone building on Jefferson Ave. that sat vacant for almost 25 years has been renovated and renamed The Innovation Post to house new tenants, including Wurtec and WorkSpring, which will move in on May 1—replacing a plan by Bitwise Industries that ended after its founders were sentenced to prison for wire fraud. A ribbon cutting at the end of February brought together the mayor, county commissioners and the first four tenants—marking a new start for the space as SVN Ascension Commercial Realty works to lease the remaining area.
