- ➤ The Lucas County Veterans Service Commission will host its first volunteer and job fair on Friday, Apr. 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Arlington Avenue office, offering local veterans, reserves, active duty members and their families a chance to connect with over a dozen organizations. WTVG
- ➤ Veteran Miguel Castillo joined Flag City Honor Flight in Washington, D.C. with his daughter Sonia Trotter (a Guardian Army National Guard member and Navy veteran), as one of 80 veterans honored for their service. WTOL

- ➤ The Toledo Library has chosen The Collaborative and Group 4 to design a new consolidated Detroit Avenue branch that combines the Heatherdowns and closed Toledo Heights locations. - ➤ The #11Together Blood Drive is underway today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Toledo Lucas County Public Library’s Main Library downtown (donations help maintain the blood supply). Donors should check eligibility before giving. WTOL
- ➤ The Ohio Department of Health released an interactive dashboard on Tuesday that shows kindergarten immunization rates for the 2025-2026 school year across 2,097 schools, with statewide vaccination at 85.4% and county rates from 50.4% to 97.4%, and the tool updates annually allowing searches by vaccine type.
