CRIME NEWS

  • Police are searching for the driver of a white Jeep Grand Cherokee—who fled after crashing into a Toledo mosque—as authorities investigate the incident.  WTVG
  • Toledo police are seeking help to locate 13-year-old Keimani Latigue, who was last seen around 12:30 a.m. on March 18 on the 2900 block of Elm Street and was reported missing by her family when she did not show up for school, with her appearance described as 5 foot 6, 120 lbs with black hair and brown eyes — anyone with information is urged to contact police.  WTOL
  • A pregnant woman escaped a man who beat her and held her captive and got help from a good Samaritan; police arrested 33-year-old Omar Dancer before 5 p.m. Sunday and charged him with felony kidnapping and domestic violence—along with two misdemeanor charges of domestic violence and assault.  WTVG
  • Police are searching for a suspect after an adult woman was shot and hospitalized Sunday at about 2:45 p.m. on the 2100 block of Nevada Street near Dover Place in East Toledo+ her condition has not been updated.  WTVG

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Ohio hunting and fishing licenses for the 2025-26 seasons are now available for residents through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife — they can be bought at wildohio.gov, via the HuntFish OH mobile app, or at local retail stores — and proceeds will fund wildlife conservation efforts.  Toledo Legal News
  • The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminded Toledo drivers during Vehicle Safety Recalls Week to check for recalls and keep up with routine vehicle maintenance. Data shows older cars were involved in more defect crashes and officials said proper upkeep helps stop issues—like tire blowouts and brake problems.  Toledo Legal News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Toledoan Anthony Pattin opened Junction Family Pharmacy last December after learning of local Rite Aid closures and celebrated with a ribbon cutting on Friday — joined by officials like Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur. He said the new pharmacy offers direct patient care and advanced training for University of Toledo students — filling an important health gap.  Toledo Free Press
