  • The Friends of the Library book sale runs Thursday through Saturday and offers over 30,000 gently used books, records, and board games at the local library. Visitors can browse a wide selection of items during the event.  The Blade
  • Toledo Fire & Rescue said crews investigated an ammonia leak at the Sofo Food facility on Waggoner Road Friday morning and lifted the shelter in place order after confirming the area is secure.  WTVG

CULTURE NEWS

  • Local leaders in Toledo share their insights on the 100th anniversary of Black History Month, highlighting community heritage & the milestone's ongoing significance.  The Blade
  • The Center for International Studies and Programs will host a Spring Festival Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Thompson Student Union Auditorium. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Toledo Public Schools held its fourth community meeting at Rogers High School Sunday to review the Transformation Plan 2.0 and discuss financial challenges while asking for public input to keep schools stable. Additional meetings are scheduled on March 4 at Waite High School and March 11 at Scott High School for further feedback.  WTVG
  • Toledo’s 2026 Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Exhibition is open in the main concourse of Carlson Library and showcases 42 posters from various fields.
