About this event

Winter Wheat Writing Festival, an event sponsored by BGSU Department of English's publication Mid-American Review, celebrates its 25th birthday with a weekend of inspiration, exploration and connection for writers of all levels. Join us to plant the seeds for creative harvest through generative writing workshops, guest readings, a regional bookfair, and a celebratory open mic.

Events open Thursday, November 6, in Prout Chapel, with a guest reading by MFA alum author Paula J. Lambert and distinguished poet Juan Armando Rojas Joo. Mid-American Review recently published Lambert's translations of Joo's work. The festival continues in the Education Building with a wide variety of workshops.
